New Life Church celebrates its TENTH BIRTHDAY on January 12, 2007 and we’re celebrating it big!

*Friends’ Dinner on Friday, January 12, 2007 at the Abilene Civic Center

*Family Fun Day on Saturday, January 13, 2007 at Cobb Park Recreation Center, 8:30-2:00

*New Life Open House at our building (910 Cypress) on Saturday evening, January 13, 2007

*Birthday Worship Service on Sunday, January 14, 2007 at New Life Church

Saturday, November 18 brings back this year’s Hay Day at the Compton Farm east of Abilene. Philip Compton and Charlotte Felix, New Life members, have many fun events planned for the late evening farming fun including dinner and a hayride!

This is proven to be an enjoyable event for young and old. Charlotte & Philip are great hosts and fun, fellowship and a good time is had by everyone. Make plans to join us at the farm on Nov. 18.

Our neighborhood’s Friendship House on 1249 N 17th Streeet will be hosting a fun evening of games, bounce houses, and candy. New Life members are welcome to join the fun for all ages.

October has a fifth Sunday. To New Life that means it is POTLUCK SUNDAY. Prepare a dish to share with others and bring it ready to serve on Sunday, October 29 at 11:00 a.m.

Our annual Fall Festival will be held on Saturday evening, October 28, 2006 from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. It’s a great time for our church family, guests and family of our learning center children. Lots of candy and other prizes to be won in a variety of fun activities.

Don’t forget your costume (kids & adults)!

Wednesday nights at New Life include classes for children and adults of all ages. Classes are from 7:00-8:00 p.m.

Wednesday, September 6 introduces our new children’s classes and includes “Art by Alex.” Children must come with adults to attend classes on Wednesday. (See Tuesday Night Learning Centers for other options for kids!)

On Wednesday, September 6 we will begin a new group study called “Gender in the Kingdom of God.” The study will be led by Damon Parker and Shane Hughes and is a combined class with adults and college students.

During New Life Wednesday Evening Bible Classes in September, October and November, we will have a group study on “Gender in the Kingdom of God.” The class will be combined of our college student and adult classes.

Damon Parker and Shane Hughes will led our study which includes a biblical examination of gender, group discussion and reflection. This is an important study for our church and all our members are encouraged to attend each week. You don’t want to miss out on the material covered during any session.

Our children’s Bible classes are held simultaneously in the building for members with children.

A welcome back to our college students! Dinner will be served following Adopt-A-Block on Sunday evening at the Parker’s house. Dinner begins at 6:30 p.m. Welcome back!
